GMHBA On Board !

Following a meeting with a few home builders in Montgomery Alabama in 1950 , our Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association ( GMHBA ) was born . Dedicated to promoting the American dream in the River Region , our goal is to be THE trusted resource for all businesses and individuals engaged in any aspect of the building industry . Today we have nearly 1,000 business members in Montgomery , Elmore , and Autauga counties .
Not long ago , a member brought up a discussion about the AHERO charitable organization . This resulted in a meeting with AHERO ’ s founder , Maj . Lee Stuckey , USMC ( Ret ), who spoke about the volunteer organization , its mission , and how it specifically helps wounded and injured active service members and Veterans .
Our association ’ s president , Jimmy Adams , of New Age Builders , was invited to participate in a deep-sea fishing trip during the August 2020 AHERO Warrior Hook-Up in Pensacola , Florida . It was during this trip that he heard numerous testimonials on the powerful impact the AHERO organization has on the Veteran community .
Jimmy spoke to the association members following the trip . “ This weekend really opened my eyes to the needs of Veterans across this county ,” he told them . “ If we can come together and play a part in making AHERO ’ s Warrior Lodge in our area of Alabama , a reality and in doing so , increase the number of wounded Veterans that AHERO can help , my hope is to help make that happen .”
GMHBA has grown to be one of the most respected organizations in Alabama . Our mission is to promote professionalism in the home-building industry throughout greater Montgomery by providing education , legislation oversight , marketing and networking opportunities to its members . Now Jimmy and the Association , with its many Veteran members , have also become committed supporters , volunteering time , money , and resources to assist AHERO .

And now , a moment of levity as AHERO Board of Directors Lex McMahon , Dave Glassman , Lee Stuckey and Mark Oliva show their great ( if goofy ) love of being together again at AHERO Farms !
