Powerful Support For AHERO Warrior Lodge From Ryder System Inc .
“ This company was started in Miami , Florida , in 1933 , by Jim Ryder ,” said Ryder System Inc . National Sales Manager Jimmy Mann when we asked him for background on his firm after hearing about the gift it had made to AHERO . “ With only one 1931 Model A Ford truck , he managed to open a concrete hauling company that has since grown into an $ 8.9 billion global transportation and logistics firm .”
Today Ryder System provides fleet management , supply chain , and transportation solutions to companies all over the world . “ Those trucks ensure that many of the brands and products consumers rely on every day will arrive on time , wherever they are needed ,” Mann added .
He went on to describe how supportive the company is of our military Veterans . “ Since forming a partnership in 2011 with Hiring Our Heroes , a U . S . Chamber of Commerce initiative , Ryder has hired more than 10,000 Veterans ,” he said .

“ I have participated in several Veterans events and have seen firsthand the positive impact it has on our Veteran community ,” said Mann . “ When I first heard about the AHERO Warrior Lodge project from the charity ’ s founder , Major Lee Stuckey , I immediately
thought this would be a tremendous resource for Veterans who need a therapeutic mental reset through nature , spiritual inspiration and fellowship .”
He alerted his company to the project . Soon after , Ryder tapped its charitable foundation manager to carry out its wish to show unwavering support of our military Veterans . The result : Ryder ’ s very generous contribution of $ 5,000 towards the Warrior Lodge project .
