“Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.” (Revelation 16:15 NLT)
You probably woke up this morning and one of the first things you did was change your clothes so in the natural you're dressed. In our daily life we worry about what we are going to wear and at times a little bit too much. Does it look good? Do the colors match? Is it out of style? At times we worry more about surprising others by making a statement than the cost of what we wear.
The way we look becomes our main priority because we have all heard the famous line "You only make a first impression once" so what we wear defines us tell me what brand you buy and I will tell you how much money you have, so it's a must for us to look the best we can even if we can't afford it!
DO YOU WORRY THE SAME WAY ABOUT YOUR SPIRITUAL CLOTHES?
There are moments in our daily life when we need to stop and think "Am I dressed? " When you lose your temper, when it becomes easy to offend others, when you walk around with the wrong attitude, when your thoughts are unpleasant, when you can't honor those around you, when your desires are your only priority or when you can't control your tongue..... YOU HAVE STARTED TO LOSE YOUR CLOTHES!
In the natural you would never walk around naked, then you should never feel comfortable walking around spiritually naked. We know that as Christians, we are constantly being attacked walking around without being covered makes you a walking target for the enemy, and it will be easier for him to destroy you. This may sound a little rough to some people but it will be an eye opener. If you're not a stripper in your natural life, why would you be ok with being a spiritual stripper?
The word of God says: "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony." (Colossians 3:12-14 NLT)
We are on God's payroll. On any job if you do not work you don't get paid, there's many people that have already ran out of sick days, of vacation days, and even holidays, and deductions have started. We want to accommodate our spiritual life into our daily life, when it should be the complete opposite, we should accommodate our daily life into our spiritual life. God's work has become an option and yet we expect to receive full compensation for a job that has been abandoned.
We are so busy trying to fix someone else's life that as my spiritual mother Apostle Jacqueline Tirado says " We want to be The Holy Spirit Jr. " in everyone's lives but our own. The word says that God has given us self control not others control, we tend to become rigid and bitter to the point we become unjust. Maybe you haven't noticed you have been taking clothes off.
This scripture has become one of my favorites: You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.” (Hebrews 1:9 NLT) This means you will have a special anointing! More than on anyone else!!
It's time to look in the mirror the spiritual mirror, not to see if you look cute or not, not to see if the clothes fits or it's too tight, but to make sure that your ARMOR is on and you're not walking around naked. No soldier goes to war on their underwear they need to be properly dressed to stay protected. Your daily life might be causing you to be spiritually undressed and you might not have noticed. It's time to check your Armor.
Lazarus after being resurrected needed something. Jesus gave an order I on John 11:44 "UNWRAP HIM AND LET HIM GO!" For Lazarus to live the miracle, walk in the miracle and keep going forward he had to be set free of his death clothes. He didn't put those clothes on others did!
This might be your case the battle has bee unbearable and your clothes have gotten worn out and others have placed clothes of death over your life. With words that you've been unable to shake off! You're not worthy, you'll never mount to anything, you will always be broken, you're life will never change.... I have good news for you!
The scripture says: For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:17, 18 NLT) There's a new level of glory about to be birthed in you!
Your time is now time to go into the Holy Spirit's Boutique, and get dressed in your perfect clothes!
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:10-17 NLT)
The enemy's number one target is your mind, make sure your dressed and your helmet is on tight! Your mind needs to be covered. In the natural a brain transplant equals death in the spiritual it also does, renew your mind by the reading of the word of God as it says on Romans 12:2 this is the only way to be transformed. This is the best time to look at yourself and check your clothes you're still on time to get dressed. Blessings
