The AGSM is like an ice cream shop and like every ice cream shop AGSM’s
experience has a sweet yet different flavour every month. This month’s flavour
is the flagship event - Careers month. Therefore the theme of this month’s
issue revolves around all things career with a quick recap on the career events,
rounded out by some expert tips and advice on being your best self.
In this edition we cover Karen Lance, Managing Director and Founder of Qube - a
recruitment consulting company, and her journey from the doors of AGSM to the
world of recruitment. Karen talks about the most sought after skill sets required
by Australian companies today and shares insights into what MBA graduates
must keep in mind to set themselves apart in their quest for new opportunities.
We also have Kate Muldowney from the careers team with an account of the
month that has passed and our in-house consultant Guillermo Rodriguez who
discloses the ingredients to being a successful consultant.
To wrap up, Heather Schmidt returns with a feature piece on the revolutionary
Fintech phenomena of Blockchain and Bitcoin and we cover entrepreneurial
endevours from our MBA (Executive) cohort - Eddie Yu’s sweet story of
