A well-educated, skilled and curious workforce will ultimately
drive the innovation and growth agenda that will meet
Australia’s Innovation Nation 2030 goals.
An increasing number of businesses indicate they’re
interested in recruiting talent from broader backgrounds,
especially science, technology, engineering, arts and maths
(STEAM). However, many report STEAM students need
fundamental business knowledge and workplace confidence
to be successful in their organisations. AGSM designed a new
post-graduate Master of Management (MMGT) course to
bridge this gap, providing recent graduates the opportunity
to complement their technical capabilities with business
knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
Graduates of the AGSM Master of Management are
prepared for business career paths. The graduates have
shown through their course study and industry practice
that they can communicate, work in teams, lead and manage
people and resources, and are keen to tackle new ideas.
A focus on harnessing ‘soft skills’ including analytical skills,
problem solving, communication, and how to collaboratively
work through a problem, rounds out their education and
preparation, ensuring they are ‘business ready’ to start
their professional careers.
