Agile Know-How Magazine • Fall 2017 Agility is everyone’s business! Daniel Leclair : President Pyxis Technologies S o here it is: the second issue of the Agile Know-How Magazine! Let me first mention that we are very proud of the results of this adventure. Having received very positive comments from our readers following the publication of the first issue, it is with confidence and great energy that we are repeating the experience. Agility is really proving itself more and more! Well established and recognized among software delivery teams, Lean and Agile approaches are now gaining followers in business functions and in the delivery of physical products. It’s no longer rare to hear people talk about Agile marketing, Agile manufacturing, Agile sales, and Agile business in the broad sense. The different scaling approaches out there take on a new meaning when the organization’s strategy itself becomes Agile. How do Agile thinking, challenging our mental models, and open-mindedness equip us to face the uncertainty and complexity of today’s world? Though Google, Uber, Amazon, and other giants of the digital economy are taking the traditional market by storm, Agility must not be a pretext for constant emer- gency and chaos. True Agility requires, before all else, a strong dose of discipline, courage, inspection, introspection, and humility in order to increase the learning speed of our organizations. And what if tomorrow’s leadership was first a learning leadership rather than a leadership of vision, content, and processes? The Agile Know-How Magazine is first and foremost a tool intended for you: pass it around, leave it on a table, suggest it to your colleagues! Agility is everyone’s business! Thank you to our Pyxissian collaborators and, of course, to our guest writers who have generously contributed to creating this new issue. Also, a special thank you to our marketing team (Sophie, Marie-Ève, and Gabriel) without whom this crazy journey would never have begun. Enjoy! agileknowhow.com 3
