This comprehensive, one-day training course is designed to instruct the student on the fundamentals of traffic controls in accordance with the current California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD). Individuals who are required to provide work zone temporary traffic control and/or traffic control flagging shall be trained before being assigned that responsibility (CA MUTCD. Ch-6). Bejar WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL SUPERVISOR ADVANCED TRAINING (2-DAY COURSE) This course combines the concepts and techniques taught in the Traffic Control Technician (TCT) - Part 1, the Traffic Control Flagger Part-2, with Special Short Duration Traffic Control Operations, Part-3. Students are taught how to recognize, analyze, and correct traffic control deficiencies. There will be direct instruction, group discussions, and audiovisual presentations. A further objective of this course is to teach the students skills necessary to become an effective supervisor so they can effectively oversee personnel in the field. This course is an introduction to the basic principles of temporary work zone traffic control. This training course is designed to instruct the student on the fundamentals of traffic controls in accordance with the California Manual of Traffic Controls (MTC) (Referred to in the California Vehicle Code, Section 21400).
