A jury has ordered Harley to pay $ 287m following the death of one , and injury of another rider while out on a H-D trike in 2020 . RideApart reported that " Harold Morris and Pamela SinClair were out on a ride together on their Harley-Davidson close to the New York , Pennsylvania border when tragedy struck . The two were riding a Harley trike when the motorcycle " veered off the road and crashed ," according to The Buffalo News . Morris was injured in the crash , while SinClair lost her life . After the accident , Morris and SinClair ' s estate sued Harley-Davidson , laying blame for the crash on a bad traction control system . Morris and SinClair won the case this year . Harley ' s lawyers plan to appeal .

MV Agusta ' s new President and CEO , Hubert Trunkenpolz is quoted as saying that though now under the PIERER Mobility AG umbrella , there are no current plans for MV to share engines with the other Pierer brands - excepting perhaps for MV to share KTM engines if they make it onto the MotoGP from 2027 . Trunkenpolz is the grandson of KTM founder Hans Trunkenpolz ( the ' T ' in ' KTM ') and a KTM board member .

MotoGP racers are to finally start using radio comms systems with their pit box . Radios have been tested before , but were abandoned for privacy and focus reasons . Finally , however , the realities of the needs of good pit crew-rider teamwork at speeds of over 300 kph have triumphed over indiscretions and egos .

The European Harley-Davidson community and custom bike scene is mourning the passing of legendary Swiss dealer and customizer Felix Baechli . Felix opened up shop as ' Harley Heaven ' in 1967 - 57 years ago - and became an official authorized dealer in 1978 . Sadly , six decades of brand dedication doesn ' t buy a lot of loyalty these days . Now operated by his son Rainer , Harley withdrew the franchise in 2021 . Even in a paddock full of free agents , one would think Kopp ' s signature will be among the most hotly sought .
