Tucker Fills Two High Profile Vacancies as New Management Structure Takes Shape
Tucker Powersports ( Irvine , Texas ) has announced two senior hires with former Dallas Cowboys Executive Lesley Madsen as the company ' s Vice President of Marketing and Prnuv Sharma as VP of Sales . Madsen ' s role at Tucker is focused on delivering " impactful marketing programs for the company ' s ' owned brands ' as well as the products distributed by Tucker ." Madsen left her role at Dallas Cowboys Merchandising to join Tucker in December . Tucker President and CEO Marc McAllister had earlier announced a restructure of the company ' s Sales and Marketing functions and his plan to bring new leadership into the company . " Lesley ' s experience in marketing , brand building and distribution makes her a natural for this role at Tucker ," said McAllister . " She will bring her strategic and analytical approach to our marketing efforts and will help us provide better support for our brands and our dealers ." Madsen ' s business background includes seven years with the merchandise arm of the Dallas Cowboys with responsibility for supporting retail and wholesale marketing and distribution for the Dallas Cowboys and 81Eighty organizations . Previous to the Cowboys , she held leadership roles in marketing , advertising , public relations , advertising and digital communications with major brands in electronics and entertainment .
Prnuv Sharma is an avid automotive and racing enthusiast . He holds an SCCA recreational racing license and enjoys spending time on the weekends driving at Autocross events . He joins Tucker after twelve years at Abbott Laboratories , following previous roles with Valvoline Inc . and Classic Automotive Group in his hometown of Cleveland , Ohio . Sharma was most recently a Marketing Director for Abbott Laboratories , having held senior roles in Sales Management , Global Strategy and Brand Management . Earlier in his career , Sharma had been General Manager of a Nissan dealership that was part of the Classic Automotive Group , which owns several dealerships in the Cleveland area . “ Moving into powersports connects me to my passion for power , performance and the beauty of a welldesigned vehicle ,” said Sharma . " I ' ve had a retailer ' s mentality since early in my career and that ' s helped me succeed with the global brands that I ' ve been part of ," he continued . " I ' m anxious to get to know my team at Tucker and spend time with the dealers that drive our success ." " Prnuv ' s background in sales leadership and employee development in dealerships and in large organizations makes him ideal for Tucker ' s VP of Sales role ," said McAllister . Spain : Motorcycles + 6.30 % for 2022
The latest available data from ANESDOR - the motorcycle industry trade association in Spain - show that motorcycle registrations in 2022 were + 6.30 % ( 175,524 ) - essentially flat with 2019 as the equal best year for motorcycle registrations in Spain since before 2009 . Moped registrations in Spain were -11.83 % for the year at 15,701 units , but overall , total PTWs were + 4.45 % for the full year at 191,225 units - the best in Spain since 2019 and the second best since before 2009 . Demand for electric powered PTWs was + 53.1 % for the full year at 10,188 units - which was 5.8 % of
total PTW sales . Honda remains market share leader in Spain for 2022 with a 21.8 % share of the total scooter and motorcycle market there ( 38,310 units ), followed by Yamaha ( 12.1 %), BMW ( 7.0 %), KYMCO ( 6.9 %), Piaggio ( Vespa scooters etc . at 6.3 %), followed by Sym , KTM , Kawasaki , Zontes , and Aprilia scoring a 1.9 % market share in its own right ( 3,409 units ). Honda ' s PCX 125 was the top-seller , followed by the Sym Symphony 125 , Honda SH 125I , KYMCO Agility City 125 and Yamaha X-Max 125 . The top selling large displacement motorcycle was the BMW R 1250 GS .
