Already armed with zillions of products to enhance BMW Adventure model owners ' riding and ownership experience , its first mission has been to establish a foothold , indeed an already leading position , in the Pan America accessories segment . The division is headed up by former Touratech founder and owner Herbert Schwarz as Brand Ambassador , who says that in addition to modelspecific product designs , Wunderlich offers some 2,000 universal fit parts and accessories for all ADV models , including the Pan America .
EVO Plus CLS System
Described as a " combined management system ," Wunderlich ' s combined EVO Plus CLS system manages its CLS EVO chain lubricator , CLS Heat heated grip system and CLS Connect connection module . Wunderlich ' s CLS chain lubricators " are the result of many years of experience , relieving the motorcyclist from the burden of carrying out the classic maintenance operations because they guarantee constant and long-lasting lubrication of the chain . " The practically invisible system is able to guarantee clean and effective lubrication and consequently increases the useful life of the chain - this kit has been specially designed for the Pan America 1250 / S . The cables are custom-made , the power cord is covered with a braided tube to integrate perfectly into the bike and the control display is laser-made and powder-coated . " The system of heated knobs guarantees a gradual regulation of the temperature , measuring the temperature and changing the heating power by degree to degree - allowing riders to perfectly finetune the system to their specific needs ." Features include automatic preheating , which means that the knobs are preheated , as needed , according to temperature , quickly reaching the required operating temperature .
The externally invisible CLS EVO chain lubricator is a clean and effective chain maintenance tool with a capacity of 50 l for a range of about 10,000 km ( approx . 6,200 miles ). The result of this simple install is " a great improvement in comfort , with no shorter duration lubrication or manual cleaning cycle needed ." The Wunderlich CLS Heat heated grip system ( for 13.2 cm wide knobs ) is a single degree adjustable , automatic temperature regulation tool that automatically preheats at low temperatures . This CLS Connect connection module provides easy
connection of the various electronic accessories to the vehicle , especially for CAN bus technology applications . It is said to be easily assembled in less than ten minutes for safe switching on and off of the navigation system , radio , communication systems , headlights and more . It is designed to filter out a lot of interference when using radio systems and other communication devices .
Footpegs
Designed for improved touring or enduro comfort , these practical footpegs are designed to be affixed to the cylinder guard for leg stretches and a more relaxed long-distance riding position .
Available in black and easily mounted on the cylinder guard bar with the supplied adapter , it can be used on all 25 mm diameter round tubes . Manufactured in light weight , high strength aluminum with a nonslip rubber support surface , they fold up when not in use .
Side Stand
Side stands are always a design weakness with all stock ADV models , regardless of the manufacturer - from BMW to Honda , Yamaha to Harley , they are never designed well enough or strong enough for the
kind of unforgiving terrain that ADV use subjects them to . Wunderlich ' s Pan America 1250 / S design features an additional spring to support the side stand - giving it additional stability and preventing unwanted movements and assembly and mount weakening oscillations while riding - which additionally improves the perceived comfort in the saddle . A model-specific mount prevents involuntary movements of the side stand while riding . The support for the side stand designed by Wunderlich solves the problem by means of an additional spring that gives it a stable and defined dead center position , making the system perfectly stable so as to avoid unwanted oscillations and movements .
