The ever smiling and beaming Malefa Ketlele is surely a queen among her equals as she got the crown ahead of the other young ladies in the Ms. Africa category – that caters for unmarried ladies who are over 26 years of age. Born in Nelspruit, Mpumanlanga, 27 year old Malefa is a Banking relationship manager and the current Ms Lowveld. According to her, the experience is unbelievable.“ It is something that one has been working towards to get because I want to use the platform to change the lives of people. So, to be afforded the opportunity is truly incredible. I am touched, Malefa expressed. To the new Ms. Africa this pageant holds personal values as a way of self-discovery.“ For me as a person, it has tested my tenacity, my determination. It has shown me how strong I am as a person because this is not an easy journey. It is a difficult journey, but I pulled through and here I am”, Malefa revealed. Malefa’ s focus during her reign as Ms. Africa is the empowerment of girls and women towards self-sufficiency.“ I believe in empowerment, I believe in giving hopes to girls, in them structuring their lives in a manner that it does not dependent on anybody and anything but themselves. So, my platform is going to be used mainly for that. I will make sure I go out here and encourage women and girls to structure their lives in manner that enables them to be self-sufficient.” She advised women and girls that anything is possible.“ If you put your mind to it, you will to achieve it. The world is full of endless possibilities. You need to go out there and get what you want,” Malefa noted.

Mrs. Africa 2017 Pretoria-born Kedidimetse Tswai was in every way shoulder above the rest of her 39 other married women co-contestants in every aspects of the word as she emerged the crowned Mrs Africa 2017. The 36 year old who is a staffer at a government department is a beautiful and graceful wife, mother, mentor, model and also a fashion designer. Reacting to her crowning as Mrs Africa 2017, elated Kedidimetse revealed that the experience was“ overwhelming and exciting, it is just a dream comes true. I did not expect it, may be one of the titles, but to be the overall winner for me it is actually by the grace of God. I am really glad and blessed.” Of the significance of the title, Kedidimetse said that“ it has a huge mileage and it means that the doors are open now. I can go beyond SA into Africa to change lives and effect changes.” A woman with passion for the well-being of other women and young girls, the crowned queen of substance pledged that the focus of her reign will be girls.“ My passion is my girls and to teach other women to hold themselves,” Kedidimetse said.“ I will also continue with the dignity dreams- I will continue with my mentoring programme that I will be launching as well. I will also be launching my clothing line. There is a lot, I will be doing”, the African queen concluded.
