Abrefa defeated his main rival and number two seed, Felix Lantey at the RLG
Hathiramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium, in the 2017 Edition of the Chairman's
Cup. He took home GH¢ 2,000 and sports kits from the President of the Ghana Table
Tennis Federation (GTTF).
Abrefa, in a post-match interview said, the win would motivate him to prepare
adequately for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
As a role model, he is not taking any chances until he has achieved his ultimate goal.
For 2018, he has begun on a sound note by winning the Ghana University Games Gold
Medal. “This is the beginning of new things, I am going all out to prove myself again” he
said.
His hobbies are Music, Reading and Table Tennis, his best dish is fufu with light soup, and
sometimes he prefers yam with vegetable stew. The car he loves most is the American
Ford.
