It never got lost to her that
education was key to her future
success as a star when it came to
translating her personality and
fame for good, using the capital
she had accrued as a sports star
adored far and wide around the
world, to help the less fortunate.
Murielle is now a veteran in the
Track & Field world, and she
recognizes that and knows also
that ‘to whom much is given,
much is expected’ and seeks very
much to honor that time-honored
tradition. She has always had the
feeling and urge to give back,
starting with her countrymen and
women, the rest of Africa and the
world at large. So, this winter she
joined UNICEF on one of their
humanitarian missions, specifically
to her home country.
What she did, and how she felt
was beyond words as she
expressed her excitement at
getting a chance to do what she
had always wanted to do in life
and for that matter with an outfit
like UNICEF, which she had
always dreamed of working with
as an Ambassador.
Getting a chance to talk to the
kids during her visit was the
highlight of her visit as she
expressed and emphasized the
value of education to them telling
them they had no other option
but to acquire an education in life.
Education she said is the
foundation and not a fall back
plan for your very existence
and survival.

She would return later in April as
one of Ivory Coast’s high-profile
Athlete-Ambassador along with
fellow teammate Marie Jose Ta
Lou to perform hostess duty on
behalf of the country’s Athletics
Federation for the African Under
20 Championships in Abidjan,
hobnobbing with the likes of the
IAAF’s President Lord Sebastian
Coe.
Ahoure is currently preparing for
this year's World Athletics
Championships in Doha, Qatar
and subsequently the Olympic
Games in Tokyo, Japan next year
(2020). She hopes to continue to
work as a humanitarian
and hopefully so with UNICEF
going forward. She is gem to the
Ivory Coast and to the African
Continent and she proudly wears
her Africanness wherever she
goes and has definitely been a
great ambassador for her country,
the African Continent and the
sport of Track & Field.
