through to the University of Makerere where I am currently, employed full time.
I captained the Basketball, netball, and track and field teams. I was also in other administrative roles
such as the Sports Minister of Mary Stuart Hall and was part of the Sports and Games Union
leadership. I later joined the Sports and Recreations Department of Makerere University as a graduate
fellow, proceeding through the ranks up to my current position as the Principal Sports Tutor, and
Head of the Department.
She stands alone amongst men literally but carries herself well and is very competent
As the head of the Sports and Recreation department of one of the biggest Universities in Uganda and
East Africa I found myself actively involved in the National University Sports Federation where I was
elected treasurer and later President and the East African University Sports Federation where I was an
Assistant Secretary General and later the Secretary General for some good years.
The Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS), which I have had the opportunity to lead as its
President, convinced that I have more to offer to university sports in Africa nominated me for election
to FASU. I therefore joined the Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) in 2006 being elected as
an Internal Auditor. In 2010, I was elected to serve as Secretary General and re-elected unopposed for
the period 2015 - 2019.
