ASM: Now that you have been appointed as the National Director of Sports, it is now your place along with
other sports officials to design programs which will help elevate and develop sports in the nation allowing our
sports men and women to be competitive internationally. Could you tell us what some of your plans are to
help put the country on the international map again?
Bangura:
It has to be a collective effort by all concerned to ensure the development of sports in Sierra Leone;
strategies are in place waiting for implementation such as:
Amendment of the 1964 National Sports Council Act
Implementation of the 2015 National Sports Policy approved by the Cabinet
Ensure that National Associations/Federations embark on training programs
Help Associations organize Annual National Champio
