Projects DESERT LION CONTINUES EXPLORATION Location: Namibia Phase: Development Resource: Lithium Namibian-focused lithium developer Desert Lion Energy’s 2019 exploration and development programme will focus on increasing and optimising existing mineral resources estimates (MRE), and advancement of the mine, concentrator, and lithium conversion plant in Walvis Bay. The company announced the completion of a financing deal in December 2018. At Helikon pits 1 to 5: • Completion of surface infill drilling to improve confidence in the MRE to indicated and measured categories. • Completion of a geotechnical evaluation to optimise existing PEA pit outlines and to optimise the mine plan. • Additional mineralogical work to support the geological model, MRE, and mine plan. Desert Lion Energy will continue exploration work at its lithium project close to Karabib in Namibia during 2019. • Following completion of the infill drilling programmes, the company will be updating the mineral resource estimate, with results anticipated in quarter three of 2019. Concurrent with the development and exploration programme, Desert Lion announced that the company has engaged Karl Neumayer Civil Contractors to assist the company with updating aspects of the preliminary economic assessment (PEA), which will include: • Optimising the PEA pit shell design and current mine plan, guided by work completed during the exploration and geotechnical programmes; • Trade-off analysis for various throughput and production scenarios; • Site selection analysis for a lithium conversion plant in Walvis Bay. b At Rubicon pit: • Completion of an underground survey and drilling to incorporate foot wall lepidolite mineralisation excluded from the current MRE. • Completion of surface infill drilling to improve confidence in the MRE to indicated and measured categories. • Sampling and relogging of hanging wall pegmatite to improve confidence in the geological model and to potentially increase mineral resources • Completion of a geotechnical evaluation to optimise existing preliminary economic assessment (PEA) pit outlines and to optimise the mine plan. • Additional mineralogical work to support the geological model, MRE, and mine plan. According to a statement released by Desert Lion, the following activities are planned for the first half of 2019.
