Ivanhoe Mines reported a profit of USD31-million and an adjusted EBITDA of USD87-million for the third quarter of 2025. This includes USD76-million of attributed EBITDA from the Kamoa- Kakula joint venture.
The announcement was made on 29 October 2025 during the company’ s third-quarter financial results and operational overview. The company said approximately 59 000 tonnes of unsold copper were in inventory, up from approximately 53 600 tonnes at the end of Q2 2025. Inventory levels are expected to normalise to 17 000 tonnes as the smelter ramp-up progresses.
Kamoa-Kakula sold 61 528 tonnes of copper during Q3 at an average price of USD4.42 / lb. This compares to 101 714 tonnes sold in Q2 2025 at an average price of USD4.34 / lb.
Phase one, two and three concentrators at Kamoa-Kakula milled a total of 3.46 million tonnes of ore, resulting in the production of 71 226 tonnes of copper. Year-to-date copper production totalled 316 393 tonnes. 2025 copper production guidance of 370 000 to 420 000 tonnes is maintained.
The phase three concentrator milled 1.62 million tonnes of ore, producing 33 522 tonnes of copper. For the second consecutive quarter, it averaged a milling rate equivalent to 6.5 million tonnes per annum – 30 % above its design capacity of 5.0 million tonnes per annum.
While stage two dewatering of the Kakula Mine was approximately 35 % complete and expected to be finished by early December 2025.
