MTE EXHIBITIONS
LEPHALALE,
IT’S TIME FOR SOME
MTE MAGIC!
The year 2020 is officially underway and Mining and Technical Exhibitions
(MTE) is already back in the swing of things. By Dineo Phoshoko.
T
he travelling exhibition specialist is preparing for the
Lephalale Mining & Industrial Expo: Incorporating
Power Stations to be held on 20 February 2020. The
venue for this exhibition is the Mogol Club, with the show
taking place from between 13:00 and 17:00.
Suppliers involved in coal mining and power generation stand
to benefit the most from exhibiting at this expo as visitors could
be potential clients or even business partners. Every MTE expo is
organised with the purpose of achieving a high impact, not only
for exhibitors, but visitors too.
What’s in it for exhibitors?
Exhibitors get to have face-to-face interactions with mine
personnel including senior management. This puts exhibitors
in a perfect position to find out what the mine’s needs are
and how they can assist. In addition, exhibitors are also able
to showcase their offerings to the correct personnel. Aside
from establishing a new client base, exhibitors will also meet
existing clients — enabling exhibitors to find out how products
or services can help them with any problems they may have.
What about the visitors?
Visitors can get around to many suppliers in a single location.
The MTE team customises the exhibitions to ensure that the
shows caters to the needs of the surrounding operations.
Another exciting value add for visitors is that they get front
row seats to the latest technology and innovation — including
demos — in relevant fields.
Lephalale’s coal reserves have made it synonymous with ‘the
future of power generation in South Africa’. The town is situated
in the middle of one of the biggest development projects in
South Africa, including the Medupi Power Station. In addition,
there are various coal mines located in the Lephalale area.
