AD Editor’s view Current and connected... a new era in African design journals Welcome to the first ever issue of African Design Magazine! In a nutshell we are a digital, interactive magazine with a focus on design and architecture on the African continent. On the first day of every month, eleven times a year, we will present you with an overview of the news affecting Africa’s designers, we will highlight the architecture, sustainability and design shows and expos from around the world which are worth attending, and we will also showcase the latest and best in both African and international projects. With videos, links to follow for more information and further images, as well as a design focused on embracing the digital mediums of computers and tablets, each issue of African Design Magazine will be a truly interactive experience. Added to this, we will also feature material related articles, present the latest products from the world’s top manufacturers and explore multi-disciplinary angles in our features, making it an all-encompassing read for those interested in all aspects of design.
