Comfort management & Water Heating
Low energy strategies are used to create comfort in an extreme climate. Radiant heating in winter through a
screed piping system fed by a solar thermal water heating system. The system will also include a heat pump that
will draw warmer air from the ceiling void of the building. The envelope has a high internal thermal mass and
external insulation, double glazing and uPVC windows and doors. All glazing is appropriately shaded to allow
maximum winter insolation while blocking out direct summer insolation.
