African project: Standard Project: Desert Flower Bank PlayRoom says Mpako. “We always aim to put the customer at the heart of our operation. For the first time, customers have direct access to shaping ideas, designing products and helping to build products that suit their lifestyle,” says Mpako. Standard Bank wanted to bring in a similar look and feel to Google. “The objective was to create an innovative and creative space that was different from any corporate feel and one that would bring out the inner child in each of us,” says Mpako. What sets this hub apart from other initiatives of its kind is the focus on creativity. The PlayRoom consists of a “think space” that is dedicated to jolting creativity and innovation through a fun, funky and informal environment. “This is where the magic happens. Here, nametags and formalities cease to exist and visitors are urged to work in their own particular style. Creativity has no boundaries and this space will allow for free thinking,” concludes Mpako.
