Editor’s view Africa for Haiti in solidarity movement It is great to see Africans coming together for a good cause. Communities across Haiti have once again been tested by nature. Haiti is currently the leading country with the most victims from natural disasters in the last 20 years. In 2010, a massive earthquake brought the country to its knees, and now Hurricane Matthew has stormed a path of devastation, claiming over a thousand lives and leaving millions without shelter, food or water since October 6. Each of these catastrophic events are disastrous on their own, together the impact has been multi-fold. Led by His Excellency Ambassador of Haiti Mr Jacques Baril, Africa for Haiti in Solidarity, is a movement for Africans, by Africans. Throughout the continent, the skills, resources and expertise exist to rebuild Haiti. Africa for Haiti in Solidarity is both a platform and a movement for Africans to lead in the rebuilding of Haiti, where others have failed.
