hat is the biggest hindrance to the growth of the private sector and
entrepreneurship in Africa? Most people will quickly call out financial support
as the culprit. The great ideas of many young African have remained dormant or
at best a small startup due to lack of financial support and proper investment.
The good news is there’s change in the air. Many African countries and
organizations, having acknowledged the crucial place entrepreneurship and
the private sector has to play in the growth of the African economy have put in
place various funding and financial support measures. Below are three
examples of such efforts from some organizations in Africa.
