DAYS 7-9 Durban
Three days to get to know Durban, which is South Africa’ s third largest city. Here, long beaches are lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, there’ s a mild subtropical climate and the city is both vibrant and fascinating. A good starting point is to stroll along the bustling Golden Mile beachfront promenade, which is lined with hotels, entertainment venues, eateries and shops. If watersports are your thing, then this is a haven for surfing and swimming. Sights within the city include the majestic City Hall, the bustling African / Indian Markets at Warwick Triangle and Durban Botanic Gardens. Close by is the popular upscale resort of Umhlanga Rocks, where all manner of aquatic pursuits can be found, as well as fabulous golf courses. Also within easy reach of Durban are the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi game park and the fascinating KwaZulu-Natal battlefield sites.
DAY 10 Durban / Seychelles
Return to the airport for your flight to the heavenly Seychelles Islands. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Mahé.
DAYS 11-15 Seychelles
After soaking up city life, you’ ll welcome five full days of doing nothing at all amidst jaw-droppingly beautiful surroundings. The pace is leisurely, the sands are sugarsoft and dotted with dramatic rock formations, and the hospitality is as warm as the topaz waters you can dip your toes into. In a nutshell, it truly is paradise! If you can drag yourself away from the beach, perhaps take a trip into the island’ s capital Victoria, which brims with history, Creole character and delightful nooks and crannies like the busy market and Esplanade, where you’ re sure to find some souvenirs.
DAY 16 Seychelles
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Alternatively why not extend your stay with some island hopping? We highly recommend taking in one or more of the neighbouring islands: Praslin, La Digue, Silhouette, Cerf Island or Denis Private Island.
