DAY 1 Cape Town / Oudtshoorn
Meet your guide and travel along Sir Lowry’ s Pass. Continue to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Continue via historic Swellendam and the Tradouw Pass to Barrydale and the famous Route 62 for Outdtshoorn, with dinner at an ostrich farm.
DAY 2 Oudtshoorn
This morning, embark on a tour of the spectacular Cango Caves, one of the world’ s great natural wonders. Later, join a fun-filled interactive guided tractor tour at a working ostrich farm, followed by a wine tasting of top-quality regional wines.
DAY 3 Oudstshoorn / Knysna
Travel over the panoramic Outeniqua Pass to George. Here, visit the Outeniqua Transport Museum for a unique insight to the Garden Route’ s railway history. Later, continue via Wilderness to Knysna, which nestles on the banks of a beautiful lagoon. After a delicious lunch of traditional cuisine and local treats, enjoy free time before a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.
DAY 4 Knysna
Visit award-winning Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, which works to rehabilitate and free previously caged primates. A portion of this activity helps these already endangered species. Next, drive to Eastern Head, for amazing views of the Knysna Heads( weather permitting) and then travel to Brenton on Sea, a nature lover’ s paradise with unspoilt beaches. Return to Knysna.
DAY 5 Knysna / Tsitsikamma
Travel to Plettenberg Bay, considered the jewel of the Garden Route. En route, stop at Mungo, a family-owned and managed textile mill and then visit the Birds of Eden Sanctuary. A portion of the price of this activity helps protect genetically pure species of various Taxa. Travel on to Bloukrans Bridge, home currently to the world’ s highest commercially operated Bungee Jump. Next, is the dramatic scenery of Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth( weather permitting).
DAY 6 Tsitsikamma / Gqeberha( Port Elizabeth)
Head eastwards to Gqeberha( Port Elizabeth), where there’ s time for a city tour before the tour concludes.

DAY 1 Gqeberha( Port Elizabeth)/ Knysna
Afternoon departure from Gqeberha( Port Elizabeth) heading westwards along the scenic Garden Route which follows the Indian Ocean coastline. Your first destination is Tsitsikamma, known for its rugged coastline and indigenous forests.
DAY 2 Tsitsikamma / Knysna
After breakfast, visit the spectacular Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth( weather permitting). The next stop is Mungo, a family-owned and managed textile mill in Plettenberg Bay, whose fine quality textiles are produced using antique looms alongside modern technology. Travel on to Knysna, which nestles on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route. Enjoy a sunset cruise to the Knysna Heads before dinner at Drydock Restaurant.
DAY 3 Knysna / Oudtshoorn
Visit the Outeniqua Transport Museum in George before driving via the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, centre of the world’ s ostrich farming industry. Along the way, stop at‘ Dolphin Point’, an extraordinary viewpoint in Wilderness. In Oudtshoorn, visit an ostrich farm for a fun-filled interactive tour and light lunch before a tour of the impressive Cango Caves to marvel at the spectacular limestone formations.
DAY 4 Oudtshoorn / Hermanus
Early this morning you have the option to join a Meerkat Safari( at extra expense), a TRAVEL WITH PURPOSE Activity, to witness these incredible creatures emerging from their burrows. After breakfast, travel through the Little Karoo to Barrydale to visit a local farm school( subject to opening) and interact with children and teachers( a portion of the trip monies goes towards a fund supporting education of underprivileged children). Continue to Swellendam and then Hermanus, home to the best land-based whale watching( Aug-Nov) in the world.
DAY 5 Hermanus / Cape Town
Depart for Somerset West, travelling via the scenic coastal road, and then onwards to Stellenbosch in the beautiful Cape Winelands. There’ s free time to wander the town’ s oak-shaded streets and to browse its boutiques, art galleries and cafes, before travelling on to Cape Town where the tour concludes.
