DriveRisk ’ s Driver Safety Program ( DSP ) Getting Australians Home Safely

The Driver Safety Program is a driver behaviour improvement and risk management process designed to improve safety and reduce the risk of your fleet . It provides case management to detect , identify , analyse , coach and report on the improvement of your driver ’ s on-road behaviour . This also results in an objective set of metrics and reports for identifying on-road risk and tracking improvements that lead to risk reduction . It aligns with the risk analysis and management processes that transport companies use as part of a Safety Management System ( SMS ).

Identifying Risk
Through DriveRisk ’ s Driver Safety Program ( DSP ), the vehicle and driver are monitored for actions or behaviours that are risky . This is done with a combination of both vehicle and direct driver monitoring . Vehicle monitoring measures G-Force triggers such as harsh braking or cornering , and ADAS triggers such as following distance or lane departure . Our DriveCam video-telematic device featuring MV + AI ( Machine Vision + Artificial Intelligence ) triggers use cameras built into the DriveCam™ event recorder to monitor the video for specific behaviours that are the leading causes of incidents and collisions .
Creating Change
As driver behaviour is a people issue , it requires a human touch to affect change . DSP ’ s coaching sessions are critical to the success of the program . By using the event video from DriveCam™ , the driver can review their own actions and reactions to driving situations . This visual style of learning is very effective at allowing your drivers to interpret their behaviour for themselves and learn how they can best improve their own performance . We are very used to seeing professional athletes using videobased coaching to improve performance , why should drivers be any different ?
