The Governments EV Discount Bill has driven demand for EV ’ s but how do we solve supply issues . Beyond microchip shortages and cargo ship infestations , supply of EV ’ s is driven by fuel efficiency standards in Europe and America . Australia must develop a competitive Fuel Efficiency Standard to ensure OEM ’ s bring EV ’ s to Australia but that ’ s not so simple , getting it wrong could be disastrous for fleets and consumers .
