simple, moves requiring minimal equipment.
CURTSY LUNGES W/ DB FRONTAL RAISE
Areas Worked: Quadriceps, Gluteus
Maximus, Hamstrings, Calves, Deltoids,
Trapezius

Begin standing in basic position. Step the
right leg behind the left, “crossing legs” to
perform the lunge to resemble a common
curtsy move. Simultaneously, raise arms
to become parallel with the ground. Step
back into the starting position, lowering
arms back down and repeat on the
opposite side.

SUMO SQUATS TO PASSE
Areas Worked: Adductors, Quadriceps, Gluteus Maximus, Calves
Begin with feet placed in squat position and feet turned outwards. Feet should be turned outwards to
resemble a ballet plie. The first part of the move requires a sumo squat. Immediately after returning to
standing position, push off onto one leg while bringing the other leg to passe, a common ballet pose
which requires the toe be brought to the knee. Repeat.
