DECEMBER MANAGER OF THE MONTH AFC RUSHDEN & DIAMONDS MANAGER-MARK STARMER
Congratulations go to our Manager Mark Starmer on his recent award of the December Manager of the
Month and he is pictured receiving his award before last week`s home game with Boston Town.
Congratulations Mark on a well deserved award and to all your Management and Playing staff.
GOOD AFTERNOON AND WELCOME TO THE DOG & DUCK, FOR THIS AFTERNOON’S FA CARLSBERG VASE
GAME V ST ANDREWS FC. I WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY NEW YEAR AND OFFER A WARM
WELCOME TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS AND ALSO TO THE SUPPORTERS AND STAFF OF ST. ANDREWS.
Today’s game is such a big game for the club, fans, volunteers, players and staff. It’s a competition that we
want to do well in and on our day we can do. At the start of the season we aimed to match last year’s
run, we have passed that and I for one do not want it to end yet.
A home draw was great news, the opposition at this stage will be tough and St Andrews have got
this far on merit so they will be taken very seriously. We have watched them a couple of times
and have seen their strengths. We know in cup football levels mean nothing, it’s all on the day.
We will have to be on top form to advance into round five.
Our form over the past two months has been good, only losing the one game, so there
is a confidence within the squad that knows how to win games. Kim has been busy
treating injuries: Parky (hamstring), King (knee), Brown (groin), Dunks (hamstring),
Cross (shoulder), and Bunts (calf and thigh) over the last two weeks - all but Bunts
should be available today.
Thanks again for your continued support, and I hope you all enjoy the game
Starms
