PAUL KELLY
CHAIRMANS NOTES
Afternoon
As we take a welcome break from the
league this week, we can take a look at the
league table and be very satisfied with our
league position, we know it’s going to be
tough but we are still up there where we
want to be heading for promotion.
Graham & Jonno must be pleased with the
lads attitude and commitment at this early
stage of the season, and I know they will not
let them rest on their laurels, it’s going to
be a tough few months ahead, but I know we
will be there where it matters.
The reserves are again sitting pretty at
the top of their league, still unbeaten, and
played one or two of the title contenders
coming away with the results they need
to help defend their title.as you will read
in peters notes he has had some surprise
headliners this season, keep it up!
Back to today, we welcome the players,
officials and supporters of our nearest rivals
Fareham Town, we will be defending our
title, I am sure the lads will not want to give
it up that easy.
Lastly I would like our thoughts and best
wishes going to the family and friends of
one of our most recent loyal supporters,
Wayne Conran, who sadly passed away two
weeks ago. Wayne has been an ever present
supporter home & away over the last twelve
months or so, mainly coming to watch Josh
Warren, as he has all through Josh’s playing
days, but also enjoying the team’s success
over the last year. Wayne you will be
sadly missed.
Enjoy the game,
Paul

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALLS NOTES
Since my last notes we’ve seen two great
performances from the lads, an excellent
5-1 win over Moneyfields, which I took
plenty of personal enjoyment from, and
then a 2-2 draw at Andover which left us all
deflated after the display we put on.
For me however, the pace we now have
in the side and the way we are attacking
sides is very pleasing, and I’m sure you the
supporters are enjoying it!!
Saturday also saw a superb debut from new
signing Geoff Dunn, and his signing shows
we are attractive to the best youngsters in
the area.
This afternoons game sees us welcome
Fareham to the Wicor for another home
Derby fixture that we are desperate to win,
a make further progress in the Wessex
League Cup which we won last season.
Please continue to get behind the players
and staff, your support as always is
appreciated
