Oct . 21 , 2020 : LeadingAge National releases the results of a survey measuring the significant impact of COVID-19 on affordable housing members . Oct . 23 , 2020 : DOH institutes limitations on visitation in nursing homes , pediatric nursing homes , ACFs and other congregate facilities located in red or orange zones designated as part of the Cluster Action Initiative . Nov . 3 , 2020 : Governor Cuomo signs EO 202.72 extending all COVID-19-related requirements for nursing homes and ACFs , including the weekly staff testing mandate , through Dec . 3 , 2020 .
Nov . 4 , 2020 : The State implements a new travel advisory policy that replaces the 14-day quarantine requirement for individuals traveling from states with “ significant community-wide spread ” of COVID-19 with a new test-based strategy . Under the new policy , individuals coming to New York from non-contiguous states , or after travel to any CDC Level 2 or
Level 3 Travel Health Notice country , must quarantine for 14 days unless they satisfy the
test-based requirement to exit quarantine early . Nov . 4 , 2020 : DOH issues guidance allowing for the resumption of salon services in nursing homes and ACFs , provided certain conditions are met , including implementation of strict infection control practices and COVID-19 testing of all beauticians and barbers .
