Aug . 20 , 2020 : Governor Cuomo signs EO 202.57 extending the moratorium on commercial evictions through Sept . 20 , 2020 . Aug . 26 , 2020 : CMS announces new requirements for nursing homes to conduct facility-wide testing of all residents and staff in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak and routine testing of all staff based on community prevalence , develop a plan to address resident and staff refusals of testing and report all point-of-care test results within 24 hours in accordance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment ( CLIA ) ( or State Limited Service Laboratory ) COVID-19 reporting requirements .
