SPRING 2012
A focus
on helping
Continued from page 1A
“This coverage required sensitivity
because so much devastation occurred,
but the community was so willing to
share experiences.”
She said everyone’s focus was about
helping, and part of helping is getting
the word out to those who want to contribute.
Adviser Update
Eswine gave credit for the coverage
to people willing to reach out to spread
the word.
“This is a fantastic example of how
writers do not make the story — people
do,” she added.
Many might conclude that the tornado coverage is also an example of how
high school journalists can cover an
important story with facts, analysis and
empathy.
