Hiking is considered to be one of the best exercises not just because it is very complex, hiking
exercises almost every part of our body: legs, knees, ankles, arms, hips and butt, abdominals,
shoulders and neck. But not just our body, hiking exercises also our minds. Hiking can also
increase happines because it’s a social activity and being out in nature, away from the chaos of
our daily lives and technology, can allow people to connect with themselves and nature in a
way that brings about peace and a sense of well-being.
The other benefits of hiking include forexample: weight loss, decreasing cholesterol,
preventing heart disease, reducing stress and depression and so on.
Experts say getting active for just 150 minutes a week – doing “moderate-intensity” aerobic
exercise such as moderate hiking or brisk walking – leads to most of these benefits.
