MOAB RIM
Forget everything you thought you knew about
trail riding. The Moab Rim is about to school you,
big time. Located in Utah, the Moab Rim Trail is
where the craziest riders like to go to test their
skills. Giant arches, echoing canyons, and mes-
merizing rock formations can be seen in all direc-
tions, and the Colorado River is just the pretty bow
on top that we were looking for.
Moab Rim can be spotted from town, and its omi-
nous cliff has ruined many vehicles without hesita-
tion. Break into Devils Crack and climb the
slickrock, loaded with tricky turns and tight corners.
Watch that your wheels don’t get stuck – this is for
experienced riders only. If you can manage to get
through the first mile, you’ve already come along
way, as most don’t maneuver through the broken
rock and dirt that meets them at the head. It is rec-
ommended that you don’t try to take on this por-
tion of the trail system alone. Leave time to get a
spotter and prepare yourself for one hell of an ob-
stacle course. They don’t refer to Moab Rim as “vi-
cious” for no reason.
