Winding through the foothills of the Ozark Mountains are over 200 miles of trails within a forty-mile radius of Bentonville . 40 miles of these trails are within city limits . Whether you are a seasoned rider or just starting out , there is a trail just right for you :
Coler - Bentonville ’ s newest trail opened this spring and is only a mile from downtown Bentonville . Built on land that is designated as a mountain bike preserve , Coler East is the first of 2 phases . The east trail is an advanced trail with more technical elements – blue and black trails . The west side , under construction now and slated to be open in the fall of 2017 , will have green runs and good flow .
Slaughter Pen - The ultimate urban mountain bike park starting from downtown Bentonville , a total of 23 miles , this trail is a great mix of natural and man-made features ; a trail system for all levels of riders . Clean flow , major downhills , technical rocks , and huge berms . Slaughter Pen is also designated as an IMBA Silver Level Ride Center and hosted the IMBA World Summit in 2016 . Don ’ t forget to check out the new Bike Playground for kids on the north side of Slaughter Pen .
