If you are a beginner, start small with a leisure ride on an established trail. You will
need basic equipment and a decent bike, but if you are visiting an area with popular
biking trails, you will be able to rent your equipment, instead of having to travel with
it. Make sure your rental includes a helmet, or bring your own. You want to be safe,
especially when traveling on backcountry trails that are made of dirt and gravel.
Experienced bikers/cyclists will want to opt for a more challenging trail that includes
dips and jumps, such as the Skyline Wilderness Park Trails in California. Trails at the
Wilderness Park offer up something for every rider, from easy terrain with great
views, to rough mountain biking turf. California is a great option for getting the best
of both worlds when it comes to wildlife and landscape. Enjoy the mountains and
the vast, open views while you bike along the trails.
