Alex's Lemonade Stand
Students from all over Webster Groves teamed up to take a stand against cancer with the help of this nationwide foundation started by Alexandra (Alex) Scott (1996-2004) and her family in 2000. This Summer, Adventure Club raised $200 towards cancer research.
Adventure Club is full of amazing teachers but Mr. Tullock, a 4th and 5th grade home room teacher, steals the spotlight. Mr. Tullock also teaches Sports-N-Games two times during the day. He has been a teacher at Adventure Club for 7 years. Mr. Tullock says that he likes "working with kids and impacting their lives," but he also says that he enjoys the other staff members at Adventure Club.
Mr. Tullock is currently studying Elementary Education at Webster University. He says he wants to go to school to further his education because he wants to become a teacher when he graduates.
Mrs. Heather says “Mr. Tullock is great with kids, cool, funny, and a hard worker," she also says that she is glad he is a home room teacher. Mr. Tullock is strong problem solver; during his class Sports-N-Games, he quickly went to the kids who needed help.
Mr. Tullock is also funny. He jokes with the kids often to brighten the mood. He is caring, while being a considerate referee
Mr. Tullock plays games with the students which shows his enjoyment for sports. He has a passion for baseball. His favorite team is the Cardinals. He says they’re his favorite because, “They are the home town team.”
Mr. Tullock says “My favorite player is Yadier Molina because of the way he plays baseball.”
Mr. Tullock says his favorite memory is the first time he went to a baseball game. He says, “It was a special moment, walking on to the field for the first time."
He had only seen it on television but actually being in the stadium "Blew me away and I fell in love with the game." Baseball has become an important part of his life.
His caring and funny personality makes Mr. Tullock one of the best home room teachers.
