This article starts with the app Tik Tok –
Do your kids use it?
Rewind a few years ago – there was an
app on the scene called Musical.ly – the
kids were raving about it, this was more
than a game, this was FUN – the kids
posted short and sometimes hilarious
videos and music clips – they practiced
dances and acted out funny short skits;
perfect for my music/dancing/acting
loving little girl. I did my research and
set my daughter up with tight privacy
settings and we had our first discussions
around cyber safety. After a few months,
I became uncomfortable with the
platform – she was getting ‘requests’
