Prof . Charles A . Rapp is a Research Professor at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and former Director of the Office of Mental Health Research and Training . He holds a PhD and MSW from the University of Illinois and a B . S . from Millikin University . His professional career has been devoted to enhancing the recovery of people with psychiatric disabilities through the development of client-centred methods and programs , and advocacy for client rights and social justice . He was one of the senior researchers with the National Evidence-Based Practice Implementation Project ( 2002-2005 ) and has been involved since in the implementation and study of evidence-based practices . He is the co-developer of the strengths model of case management and the clientcentred performance model of social administration . The third edition of his book , The Strengths Model : Case Management with People with Psychiatric Disabilities with Rick Goscha , was published by Oxford Press in 2011 . Dr . Diana Ross is a social worker , currently employed as a lecturer at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences , India . Diana graduated with a Bachelor of Sociology in 2002 and subsequently completed her Masters in Social Work in 2004 . After that she joined the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences for a two year M . Phil Course where she worked primarily in adult psychiatry units , family and child and psychiatric rehabilitation units , along with de-addiction medicine , community psychiatry unit , and engaging with groups of people with mental illness through direct service delivery , group work , and community work .
