Japanese-Style Rock Weaving
Weaving on rocks requires a few basic
techniques and the right equipment! The
rocks we will be using were gathered by
hand on the banks of the Yellowstone River
in Montana. Sizes will vary because no two
rocks are alike! These will be large enough

Yes, you can knit left-handed! Bring a pair
of #7 needles and a skein of worsted weight
yarn in a lighter color so you can see your
stitches forming. No experience necessary.

Bengala Dye
Bengala dyes are natural, environmentally
safe Japanese dyes made from soil. Learn
about the history and cultural significance
of this unique dye as you use it to color a
t-shirt, scarf, shawl or bag. A materials fee of
$7–16 (depending on the item you choose)
is payable to instructor. You may dye more
than one item during class for an additional
materials fee. Bring plastic bags to take
home your project, a large towel that you
don't mind getting dye on, and a small hand
towel. You may also bring an apron and

on PBS? A certified Bob Ross instructor will
lead you step by step as you complete an
entire oil painting in class. This “wet-on-wet
technique” of painting is for all skill levels. A
$20 supply fee is payable in class.
