Dip your toe into the world of natural
dyeing! Harvest raw materials outdoors
for a special type of natural dyeing called
eco-printing. Eco-printing is the process of
extracting pigment from a plant or flower
directly onto a surface. You will be dyeing
an organic cotton bandana. No experience
is necessary and all materials will be
provided. You will need to return later in
the afternoon or at another date to pick up
your finished bandana as processing time is
longer than the class time. Maddy Bartsch

NEW! Who was that Masked Bird?
With 168 species of birds found in Oakdale
Nature Preserve, this is a great place to
learn the basic skills that will help you find
and identify birds, including a few you won’t
see at a bird feeder. Class will start indoors
followed by a walk in the preserve. Class
fee includes a Birds of Minnesota field guide
book, a checklist of Minnesota birds and
additional reference materials. You will be
walking along unpaved surfaces and into
wooded areas. Dress for the weather.
