t the 2016 Mad About
Awards night held at
the Prive Luxury Super
Club last June 16, it was
the creative talents of advertising
agency TBWA\Santiago Mangada
Puno, TBWA\SMP Chief Creative
Officer himself Melvin Mangada,
Filmex production house, and
Hit Production sound production
that found themselves being
called onstage like rockstars.
The Mad About Awards honors
those who top adobo magazine’s
Creative Rankings—a point system
that assigns points to the most global
and local important creative awards
such as Cannes Lion, D&AD, Clio,
One Show, London International
Awards, New York Festival, AdFest,
Spikes Asia, Kidlat Awards,
Araw Values Awards, Boomerang
Awards, and the Tambuli Awards.
TBWA\SMP was called out
16 times, ten of which were for
trophies including for top agency,
while TBWA\SMP CCO Melvin
Mangada won two trophies for
top executive creative director
and for creative director.
