4 Draw a swooping branch of flowers across the lower portion of the Stage.
The flowers, leaves, fruits, and branches are generated repeatedly as you move
your brush over the Stage.
5 If it’s not already chosen, choose the Selection tool. Select all the flowers, leaves,
fruits, and branches. Choose Modify > Group.
The flower decorations are combined into a single group so you can move or
modify them as a unit.
converting Vector art to Bitmap art
Vector art, especially art with complex curves and many shapes like the flowers
you just created, can be processor-intensive, and can take its toll on mobile devices
where performance suffers. An option called Convert to Bitmap provides a way to
turn selected artwork on the Stage into a single bitmap, which can be less taxing
on the processor.
Once an object is converted to a bitmap, you can move the object without worrying
about it merging with underlying shapes. However, the graphics are no longer edit-
able with Flash’s editing tools.
1 Choose the Selection tool.
2 Click on the group of flowers.
