Our Mission Statement St. Ursula Villa, a coeducational Catholic elementary school in the Ursuline tradition, nurtures the whole child, fosters academic excellence, and instills a Christ-centered commitment to society. We believe: • t hat the primary teachers of children are their parents with whom the school collaborates to help the students develop their God-given talents. • i n the integration of Catholic truths and values through example, service, openness, and optimism. • that daily prayer is important. • i n every student’s capacity to achieve and that instruction should be differentiated to address individual learning styles. • i n the value of diversity which challenges students to recognize and respect the beliefs and customs of all people. • i n educating the whole person by promoting the spiritual, moral, physical, creative, and intellectual development of each student in a Catholic environment. • i n teaching and cultivating the self-discipline skills that allow one to act with responsibility and integrity within society. • i n providing a safe and nurturing environment in order to promote student learning. EDUC ATION FAIT H COMMUNITY “I have experienced the dedication of the Villa faculty and staff through their interactions with both their students as well as the adults who attend the Masses. I thoroughly enjoy the students, praying with them and hearing them reflect on the readings. What a blessing this experience is for me!” Fr. Bill Verbryke, SJ
