With a prescription drug addiction, you may not get the specialized care that is
required if you do not go to a rehab center that specialized in prescription drugs.
There is a common misconception that these rehabs will feed you into the drugs
again when you show up to treat the issue you’re having. This is not true for those
addicted to prescription drugs. They require specialized care and a plan that
works with their unique situation.
When someone takes too many prescription drugs you can generally tell as they
have a glazed over look, have a hard time responding to you and may pass out.
This can become serious when the person vomits and is laying back, since they
can actually choke on their vomit. Not only that, but when too many pills are
taken or when the pills are mixed with something else, this can cause the person
to overdose easily. This is not a good thing. It is a signal for help.
Once the person has crossed this line, it is very hard to come back over on their
own. They might say they have it under control and that they don’t need help.

to obtain them and then use them. It is an addiction and they like the way they
feel. As their tolerance level goes up, they will take even more to get the same
euphoric feeling time and time again, which becomes even more dangerous.
