– THE PROCESS
 Rehabilitation
 The next stage in the treatments for inhalants is the rehabilitation. In
this phase, the patient is encouraged to quit drugs altogether and
where possible, he is shown the benefits of remaining sober. Also, the
therapists make effort to teach the patient about a relapse and how to
avoid it. Research has revealed that about 40% of all addicts fall back
into addiction months after leaving the centers. It is therefore
important to train patients how to avoid a relapse.
 Counselling
 Counselling in the treatments for inhalants comes at two levels. There is
cancelling for the patient alone as well as a counselling for the patient
as well as their families. In the individual counselling, the addict is
asked questions about treatment and how things are going. The
therapist seeks to establish whether the patient has decided to quit
