Currently , persons with spinal cord injuries participate free at CCASC , thanks to a grant in the amount of $ 23,540.00 provided by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation . The grant period extends through the end of calendar year 2022 and so far has funded 85 individual programs for persons with spinal cord injuries
This funding complements other existing grants from the Veterans Administration , which allows Veterans with disabilities to participate free ; and from the Doug Flutie foundation , which allows persons with autism to participate at low or no cost .
CCASC is also proud to have been selected the 2019 “ Health and Human Services Hero ” by the Department of Recreation Administration at Fresno State University .
