My Lesson Democra-
tic
Democratic participation includes
concepts such as political knowled-
ge, knowledge of citizenship skills
and rights, tolerance to different vi-
ews, sympathy for democratic go-
vernments, expressing opinions on
local and national policies, and vo-
ting in elections. In order for stu-
dents to be a participatory democra-
tic citizen in the future, the content
of democracy should be understood
and clear while the concept of de-
mocracy is taught in schools. The
characteristics of democracy should
be known and should be used by the
students in daily life. We also need
to create sustainable democratic en-
vironments.
The My Lesson Democratic Partici-
pation etwinning project, which be-
gan with 39 partners in April, conti-
nues to work in May.
