Zara and Boohoo communtion methods.

Zara-

Within Zara's adverts, it can clearly be seen that the brand want to be create and be viewed as a very proffessional brand thats feels and look as though it is a higher end brand, this point is also shown within Zara's store with the store layouts also being similar to those of a higher end brand, and these adverts help this as today it is viewed as a more premium highstreet brand, in comparison to say Topshop/ Topman.

However through using black, white and dull colours effectively you see the product for what it truelly is is without any excentric colours distracting the viewer.

However many, if not all of Zara's advert campaigns are based outside, where the models can frequently be seen walking down sandy beaches or within mysterious forests and fields.

Despite these being different locations water is always incorporated, whether it is in the form of the sea, or ponds and rivers, I believe this is down to them choosing the mood which is presented as a calm lake is chilling, however a rough ocean picks up the pace of the advert slightly.

Looking through multiple adverts the models show no emotion to what they are wearing once again promoting a proffesional feel.

Boohoo-

Boohoo's adverts on the other hand give out a very different message, the brand shows females always having fun within the clothing that is being promoted, with road trips and luxurious houses being shown in previous adverts.

Colours are key within Boohoo's advert campaigns with electric pinks being seen along with bright red carpets, I also saw that within Boohoo's 'Girls on the run' campaign Meredith Mickelson was used who is an extremely on trend model, as well as this celebrity indorsment can be seen with Scotty T (Scott Timlin) from Geordie Shore promoting the males range from Boohoo.

Celebrities such as 'Scotty T' will post on social media platforms such as Instagram to make the brand known to with many followers, as well as Boohoo also being on these platforms.

I believe that these advertising methods differ so much due to the target audiences they are aiming for with teenage girls bei ng Boohoo's one and only target, where as Zara has a wider audience that they would like to target, with Teenagers all the way through to older generations shopping at Zara.

As well as the differences already stated Boohoo has to attract customers to view their online store, where as Zara has to attract them to both, and having viewed both websites there is a clear difference in how proffessional the site comes across.
